i have 2 jl w6v2 and ppi pc2600 amp sealed 1.25 each camber box i want to get 150's
I highly dought it.... I'm sure it is possible but I REALLY don't see you geting anywhere near that.
by the way it depends on a ton of things but my guess is you'll barely break 140 at best
What are you hitting? I heard one of your setups, not sure if it's the current one....but kindof interested in whats what?
Everything LOUDER than everything else!!
ill saw on the dash with the new mic 138-142.
with a ported box ill say 143-144 easy
there isnt a frosty's chance in hell of that breaking 150
n/m i jsut saw your amps 600 watts ill say 138 now and with a new box facin in sealed of from the trunk 142
Thats a big negative.
I think it would be pretty hard breaking 150 with W6's. Those are mainly made for SQ....if youre looking for SPL..I'd go another route.
And I assume we are talking about 12"s here...based of the size of your box.
L7's would do it. ummm I am sure RE has some nice subs that would do it as well. And I would put re SQ up there with JL (bring on the flamage). You're gonna need a bigger amp. Stick with ppi though, I lovem. Or you could go budget and get a hifonics although they run pretty hot.
RE XXX dominates JL in SQL, just cause it can take 1800 watts
As for the original poster, no chance in hell. I doubt you'd break 140. sealed box and not enough power.
theonly thing with ppi is they dont go big enough anymore
Single 15' Type R + a couple Memphis Bell's

i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
to break 150 out of the trunk you need to have the sub's facin into the car with it sealed off, large ported box tuned in the 40's with atleast 2000 watt's. that should get you into the high 140's for 50's you need a little more power.
you need a couple five channel amps?
Your W6v2s would never take the power necessary to break 150 in our cars. You're going to need SPL subs that work well in a relatively small ported box and alot more than 600wrms to get there. Let's face it - our trunks are small, and we don't get the cabin gain that hatchbacks and vans/SUVs get (or at least my car doesn't). It's all in the install, and our trunks aren't SPL friendly.
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
its not that hard to break 150 in our cars but and you can get a large box into our trunk's. i think a guy on termpro had 10 or 12 cubic ft. in his cav. i have 8 after port and sub.
you just have to face the sub's into the car, seal off the trunk. oh yea and a little cuttin
the newer alpine type X can handle 3000 watt peak, two of them would own most punks stereos
