Relay help...
Saturday, January 28, 2006 12:16 AM
Hey.,
So I started to learn a little about relays the other day and so I am wondering i anyone can tell if these would work, which one to use, and any better solutions.
#1...

#2...

Heres how they would work and such. The goal is to get the buzzer to go off if the headunit's remote lead is on and a "S" switch is on.
HU = head unit
REL - relay
buzz = buzzer
the stars - cold cathodes.
On = the part of the relay that is actived that is always on.
S1 - S3 are the amp switches and the amp boxes are.. the amp

The main differences between the first and second was that i wan't sure if the headuinit had enough power in the remote lead to turn on the 3 amps so i put a relay in that line too... that might be wrong.
Im am very tired so i hope this post make sense and thanks for the help.

Definitely use a relay to turn multiple amps on.
