Gonna need a GMOS01 in order for everything to work properly. About $120 at Circuit City. Also probably need an antenna adaptor. Probably won't get a ton of help on this board since most of the people on here mainly know J bodies.

03 Sierra has Class 2 wiring in it. The basics are the same as a J-body, so read the FAQ on 00-04 (should be 00-05) radios at the top of the forum. Most of it will apply.
the only thing is that the gmrc-01 is needed with this vehicle. ti controls the oil pressure gauge or something absurd. its about 70 bucks. he is gonna lose the onstar and xm and steering wheel controls unless he can track down the necessary parts. I have no idea what the part numbers are. and he is gonna need to either spend a lot of time with the setting up for the steering wheel controls or find someone who can do it for him. the xm is a goner. I dont believe that they make a factory to aftermarket part. and the onstar piece can be had. i believe its a little expensive though.
The GMOS01 replaced the RC01. It takes care of the Onstar as well as creating the switched power and everything the RC01 did. XM will be lost, and the steering wheel controls can be kept if he gets an interface for it that adapts it to IR. Last I saw I think they were around $100.

Thanks everyone for helping me out.!!!! I really dont care about my onstar, xm is cancelled in a month and what about the door dinger?? hopefully it aint too expensive/ i think i'm just going to get a regular wiring harness from like walmart and mounting kit from bestbuy and be done with is for 30 bucks, will it work??
