# of subs and box size question

Alright, if you have 2 subs...in say...a 4 cu foot box...is that like the same as having 2 subs in 2 different 2 cu foot boxes.. or do they each "feel" the 4 cu feet of box space...or how does that work? cuz i had 1 of my subs before in 2 cu feet of air space in a vented box tunes to 30htz~ and it was loud...and now i have two in a 4cu box tuned to 27htz~ and i was wondering if i made the box smaller...by like 1 cube how much worse /better it might sound...

Don't make the box smaller, it'll sound worse. Tune it a little higher, around 32-35 hertz. That'll sound good for daily. If you want, take it to the next level, and have a piece you take out to tune it to 44 hertz for spl

yes..each sub sees 2 cubes

if you have one sub in a 1 cubic ft box, and you want to add another. you need to double your box size.
