Ok so if i end up getting either of em, can these fit in my doors (depth) even though i have a crank for the windows? Or do I have to make kick panels.....If they fit in there i know you have to make adaptor plates. I need a How to on that one. The issue that bugs me though is that if they get in the doors im sure they are going to cause alot of vibration. What would you do? also im just going to mount the tweeters in those little triangular pieces where the sideview mirrors are.
you wont get good imaging if you put your tweets in the mirror trim.
As for the adapter plates, i already gave you the directions, if you dont want them to rattle, Make sure you Sound deaden the door first then secure the adapters and speakers real good. mine dont rattle. and the MDF adapters will give you the needed depth to install even my Infinity's.
wow yeah those are nice. I think i'll go with those.
So you think i shouldnt place the tweeters up by the mirror trim eh? What if I kept my current 4inch pioneer tweets in the doors, make a kick panel for the 5" speakers, ( or 6") and then put the tweeters in the trim panel? On my deck I have that dynamc sound stage thingy. I just need to know what sounds the best as far as placement goes
I'm putting the 5 1/4's in kick panels, the 6 1/2's in the door.
would it sound good if i put the 5 1/4 in the kick panels, 4" in the doors and a tweeter in the mirror trim?
It would sound alright, 4's are pretty small brother.
yea but they sound good, theyre meant for the highs. Im thinking ill keep the 4 inch in the door, make kick panels to house the 5 1/4" lanzars and then have 2 1 inch tweeters. So all together ill have about 8 speakers and 2 12 "subs
I think instead of using fat mat dynomat or w/e im going to use this sound deadener stuff that they use in wood flooring. I heard it works really well off this car forum site. Its really cheap too
I'm doing a group buy right now for sound deadener, and make sure the stuff isn't asphalt. Butyl rubber does a better job for deadening.
He used foam. Mat deadener >>>>>>>>>>>>> stuck on foam anyday.

im not sure im getting what you said lol. So you think its good?
Have you gotten to listhen to some Type R components yet ? Give them a listhen and you might change your mind. They will end up saving you a good amount of $$ and most likely compete if not sound better then these Lanzar HR's.

Lanzar OPTI5.1 5.25" Component System (Set) is like 70 bux from this site. Whats a link where i can check those babies out
What do you mean, check them out?
nvm, do you think that foam stuff would work well?
Honestly, it'll help some, but part of having sound deadener is also mass to it. Mat deadener will work way better.
where can i get that? This stuff is like 33 bux for 50' x 3'
