Can you switch a 2001 cavalier from OBD2 to OBD1, if so how?
i doubt it. the obdI only existed in the 95's i believe. dont think any 96's had them, and they engines have changed.
then - now
2.2L 2200
2.3L 2.4L
to do this, you would need an obdI computer for your engine and to get rid of some O2 sensors.
OBDII has 2 or more i believe.
basically, its not worth it.... and why would u even want to?
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
obd2 does have at least 2 oxygen sensors (pre-cat and post-cat/cat monitoring) and it did start in 1996.

You'd have to gut the car and go to OBD1 wiring. And you'd need an OBD1 compatible engine... which the 2001 engines definitely were not.
Cheaper to buy a 95 manual car
