Friday, March 10, 2006 11:39 PM
So i got my handles shaved and welded intoday but solenoids DONT WORK. Here is how i wired maybe you can help
btw i used the SPAL kit
I ran a splice form the battery to a fuse, to the brain (volt meter shows 12v)
From the brain i ran channel 1 to the driver door solenoid (white wire), and then the black wire i ran back into the car to the stock gorund points).
Yet it still does not work, help me pelase i have a car with no door handles and no way to open it!!

A little late now (and no help to the problem at hand) but you probably should have left the windows open until you were sure everything was working right...

You needed to put in relays to open it brother. 500ma output isn't going to be enough to pop open the doors. Try crawling in thru the trunk if you can.

accoring to this I do not need relays, fro the fornt, but i tried using relays and still nothing. I can hear the brain clicking when a button is pressed, but nothing happens no "pop".

I think it's pretty funny. Anytime you're working on something like that, ALWAYS have the window down. And I would have tested the solenoids with a straight 12 volt source to make sure they worked. Before I had everything wired in, I used a car battery to test to make sure my solenoids worked and nothing was binding.

So the doors are open, and the solenoids do work. I hooked them up to a 12v battery and they both work, so what is worng??
