Hey guys, I'm hoping someone can help me here. I recently purchased a 99 Cavalier as a commuter car and after I got it home, I noticed ALOT of static in the drivers side door speaker, even while listening to CDs. The speaker fades in and out, and I recently discovered that my rear speakers do not work at all. If this were an aftermarket headunit, I'd check for broken speaker connections, but everything is stock. Is this a common problem, and is there anything I should check for before I disassemble the dash to get the factory cd player out to look it over? Thanks alot for the help.

disassemble the dash or the doors, which ever you want to do first is your own choice. before you reassemble everything again though, if you havent found the problem, switch the front speakers around. if the same speaker gives u problems on the other side, replace it.
