my headunit has no power???

well as some of you guys may know im currently trying to hook all my car audio stuff up as we speak heres what im installing--

- 4 10" subs
- 2 4 channel 1,000 watt amps
- 4 6.5" speakers in the doors
- DVD player
- 2 5.6" T.V.'s

Well before i wired up all the subs and amps along with the in-car speakers I installed my headunit into the factory harness and it all worked. The Cd player was turning on and playing out of the in-car speakers. Well i ran all my wire and spliced into my wiring harness. I had somebody really really profesional do it all (top notch work). Now for some reason the radio is not turning on. I checked the fuse behind the radio and its good. We also took a test light and their is power running into the radio itself past the wiring harness. I have no idea what it could be.... any help please!

im not sure yet..... im going to check it in the morning. Another thing......... i was thinking....... somebody ran my main power wire to the batter without the fuse linked before it. Would that have like a safety thing to where the headunit wont power up. Another thing that it could be is..... the yellow wire coming out of your wiring harness (antenna remote).... for programming your chanels and setting your clock.... isnt wired up because I dont have an antenna and i dont care about a clock, but even with that i dont see a yellow wire coming out of the cd player.

you need that wire. its the ignition wire to tell the stereo that the car is turned on and the stereo should be on too. run the ignition wire from the stereo to the wiper fuse and then you should be set.

Yellow is constant power, should be run to a constant 12 volt power source. Red is the switched power.
