upgrade altinator?

should i upgrade my altinator for a 1000 watt system? can I still drop pully size if I use a lightning cap? not the car audio guy just the amature so work with me here.

that should be handled easily but the stock alt...and dont use a cap...just upgrade the "big three", theres a post about how to do that on another page just search it out its called HOW TO: BIG 3 or something like that, the poster is wisywig or something similar to that...but yeah u dont need a bigger/higher output alt...i wouldnt think

if you must get a HO alt, I would reccomend Iraggi Alt.s. I bought mine almost a year ago and its taken its fair share of abuse, still kicking strong!

you don't need a alternator but if you do want one get a Iraggi Alt look him up on termpro.com.

you don't need one just get a stronger battery and do the big 3 and take it from there. i wouldent get pullies if you want to do a system, i tryed it and even with 2 batterys i had to get a jump from time to time if i took a short drive with the radio on.
