I have a pair of Polk Audio DB525's that i want to install in the doors of my 2000 cavalier. First question, how do i go about getting the door panels off? i read a tutorial on it and it said that i need a special tool to get the window crank off (manual windows). What tool do i need? i can't find it anywhere? Second question, do i need to get a bracket to fit the 5 1/4's or how hard is it to make a bracket to fit them? What's the best way of getting the DB525's in there properly?
to make an adaptor your gonna need a oiece if 3/4" MDF board aliitle bigger then the size of the old 4x6 and your new 5.5" speakers. Your gonna need a pencil, and either a rotozip/dremal, etc to cut the form out.
and a sock works well to get the hog clip off.
yeah...theres a big post in the interior forum about that...and theres a stick at the top of this forum reguarding speaker installation too...
