I called up sound of tristate and asked them about installing a remote starter in my car. They told me i would need a 40 dollar part that was a learning module. Does anyone know where i can get this? i have a 2003 cavaler.
Ya it's for your passlock. you can get it online or best buy, circuit city, or soundadvice most places that carry alarms will carry this part. It's very common.
yup, takes about 10min to install, its called a Passlock SL (Self Learning). it will work with MOST chevy/gm veichles.

I got the 556LW and it works perfectly.

You should also be able to go to any shop in ur town that sells remote starts and tell them you need a 556LW. You should also be able to get best buy to sell u one. If they want anymore than 40$ for it, don't get it.
