Well i have Hids, 2 12's, neon's underneath, and an indash screen. Im assuming its alot on a stock battery and alt. The screen seems to flicker with the bass somewhat. Sometimes its more noticeable then others. It doesnt bother me all that bad. I would imagine the HIDs and subs lights underneath n stuff all take a toll on just my regular battery. Ive regrounded the screen it self so its not that.
Also i almost forgot to mention when i first turn on my HIDS only 1 turns on for about 5seconds or so. As if its not getting enough power to turn on both of them?
Anyway im not really gonna consider anything at this point except for an optima battery Would this help my headlights and my screen? if so which one would i need and what color top thanx
Dead bob, a cap wont help is other problems.
1) do the big 3. Its wll worth it.
2) Try hyper err, Ultragrounding, it might help.
3) The Hid issue is normal, but did you disasble your DRL?
4) Turn the bass down when you have the screens on, and if you just have them on to feel the thump get some bass shakers uder your seat.
Check your grounds, your powerwire connection.
Do you lights share a common ground with your system?
A battery only helps when your car is off, other wise everything should be running from your Alt.. A cap might help if your alt is producing enough power to begin with. Check your grounds, upgrade the "big 3" and figure out how much electricity you're using, if you're alt isn't putting out enough power to cover useage +10-20% you need a bigger alt.

DIY Clear 03+ Headlights
HID's use less power than regular halogen ligths, so that's not a problem. also, if your underbody lights are CCFL's, those take very little juice, so i won't worry too much about that.
How much power do you have in your trunk?
is everything properly grounded using the same gauge wire as your power wire? have you done the big 3? are your electrical connections under hood clean and tight? Some stuff to check out before investing the bug bucks on a yellow top
My hid's do the same thing if the voltage is below 12V, if that is the problem, you need to address it immediatly before you blow something like your alt.
