Ok I just got done trying to install a neon in my trunk and it didn't work. So I was going to just plug the wires into the little plastic bulb holder for the trunk light and it was working (it lit up) but I couldn't get it to stay in place so I cut off the plastic bulb holder and tried to run the wires parallel and when I went to try that it didn't work so I tried closing and opening my trunk but that didn't work so I started my car and my stereo and my dome light even won't turn on now! PLEASE help me!
Did you check the fuse?
Usually the neons take more power then what the dome light runs on, Did you have the transformer hooked up in line?

sorry, yes it sounds like a fuse. check the Dome Lamp fuse (if there is one)
