stock cd player, and aftermarket amp?

Ive got an mtx mxa4001 amp and i wanna know if i can hook it up to the stock cd player in my car?

yes you can. if it has high level inputs its easy...

do you have the factory premium sound with the amp? if so, that makes it a little more of a PITA but its still do able.

i do have the high level conection on my amp, but i dont have the connector anymore

hm....well, my little brother bought a 10 dollar part that connected to his rear speakers (i think circuit city connected it for him at the head unit). it had the wires for the speaker on one end, and rca plugs on the other end. thats what he runs his amp off of and it sounds same as mine...look in to that.

just to fill ya in, RCA's are really just speaker wires that connect in a different way (audio RCA's anyway) I have one that connects to my computer, I cut the white and red tips off, stripped the wires, and wired them up to speakers (I dont have a home amp that runs anything but CD's). Works like a charm, not very loud being unamplified and all, but still works. just lettin ya know that a $10 high-level converter is really just a waste of money.
