has anyone heard of these guys? supposedly they are sound quality subs and speakers and the prices are really nice. any input before i purchase a sub or speakers?
Their component sets look nice, let me know if you get a pair and how they sound... but I don't think they are the shizzle or more people would have them because they are pretty inexpensive.
the specs on them and materials look pretty decent, something just seems fishy in my opinion. im really concidering their compents, pretty set on them for the price, but i havent decided on the sub, its between one of theirs, a re, or an eclipse.
I have owned CLif products. Ill sum it all up for you the best I can.
1. It is considered the higher end gear made by the same company the makes Visonik, Thump, and MA Audio.
2. This is their "high" class stuff........
3. There subs are extremely effecient, I had about 50w @ 4ohm each going to 2 CDAW10's. They hit about 138.7db, not bad for budget products.
4. Avoid their amps, overated, and not very dependable.
5. Again Their componenets and coaxial speakers are on the same level as Pioneer, Sony, etc etc.. Nothing special about them. Will save you money really over other stuff.
6. Their woofers are quite impressive though. They hit extremely well with rock music, sounding extremely natural. Although they have a hard time holding low notes... (sounding a bit sloppy). BUT they do pound, and sound fantastic for the most part.
7. Cheap. Why ? They are mass-produced in China, and flooded all over NOrth America and Australia.
8. XS Cargo in Canada sells them dirt cheap, I beleive this is so, only because they are partially owned or affiliated with the same company.

so the sq on them is pretty good on the woofers? comparable to what? re? eclipse?
comparable to a Type S in all honest opinion, like the S, it can not hold the low notes.
Eclispe is not such a good example to use either, they are going down the @!#$ hole ever since they started mass producing in order to meet demands for the big box stores. RE... lol no.

I love RE, Fantastic gear. SQ ? Adire Shiva, JL W7, Type R, Type X... All perform well in SQ.
