so i just went to best buy and got a radio, brought it home, popped it into the car, turned it on went for a cruise down the street to enjoy it, noticed after about 3 songs it wasnt so loud and seemed awfully noisy, the lights/buttons/etc do not fade, nothing seems to be wrong with it other than the sound and i cant figure it out, i dont know much about the audio thing at all other than how to get the radio into my car and work... my question is what do you guys thing the problem is... its just quieter and a lot less quality than it was when i first put it in, did i wire something wrong? is there something wrong with the radio? please help

Why didn't you have them install it a Best Buy... installation is free with every HU. If something is wrong with the head unit, you might not be able to get it replaced since it wasn't professionally installed.

Something is definitely not wired right. Did you use a harness? Or cut wires and connect them directly?

I've had a clarion in my car for over a year now, installed at a good shop, and just a few months ago it started to do the exact same thing as yours. I find if i turn it down just a little for like 5-10 minutes then it will go louder again when i raise the volume. Sounds like heat problem to me but i have been wrong many times before

exact same thing hear its loud and it hits then after a few songs it just gets quiter, then i'll turn it off for say 5 minutes and it works right again, i cant see that bing a wiring problem at all elaborate
