Starts about 1/2 way down...my SN is Lash on there too.
And as a side not...I've seen pics of his sound deadened doors. I would hardly call them "sound deadened". They look like ****.
I guess he just dosent understand the concept of a low tuned box. I honestly think that he's refering to SPL boxes that are tuned for one note a fall off pretty quick below that.

ive seen the boxes people make and ported boxes would be hard for allot of people
that discussion right there is what allot of audio fights are about, generalisations. but unless you generalize some you wont get anywhere allot of times.
for example yes sealed generally wont be as loud as a ported box. but when you can only fit say 4 ported subs into a certain sized vechile but you could fit 8-10 sealed subs in that area then the sealed could be louder. its a genearlisation. his argument started out bashing you because of a generalisation. i hate when people get so picky like that. for the fact that if you generalise you can generally take care of 10 peoples question because they are all pretty much the same. but if you have to be exact your responding 10 seperate times basically saying the same thing over and over.

Lash, you could have warned us. Reading that made my head hurt. I've installed countless systems, built countless enclosures, learned everything from trial and error. I'm no expert by any stretch of the definition, and that guy just made me seem like a fricken genius. What an idiot!
Guy came into my friends shop yesterday, had a DD in a sealed enclosure...... 15' mid range DD stuff... YET HE ONLY GAVE IT 1cu foot of space inside not even including the woofers displacement......... The thing still went pretty well, but it wanted to unleash so much more./.........
