What did you do when switching to the aftermarket headunit, where did you place the new antenna? Is there any way to pop the factory XM antenna open and hide the aftermarket antenna in there? Any pics would be appreciated.
why not just use the stock antenna? The connectons are the same.
really? I was told you couldnt use the factory antenna.
Uhm, no, the connectors are different. As of now there are no adaptors to use the factory antenna with an aftermarket radio, but I know a couple are in the works. As to your original question, I'm not sure, I've never tried it.

so, there is no way to make it work? I just found this out, and this is extremely frustrating, because I am stuck with a factory system. There is supposed to be an adaptor coming out? Any idea when? I was really looking forward to upgrading my sound system, but I feel like I am stuck. Thanks
Is there any way to just buy the aftermarket headunit and xm kit, then just splice the end of the factory xm antenna with the end of the cord from the xm kit?
I was lookin under there and couldnt find it, can I get to it from the trunk, or do I have to remove the rear deck cover? I dont remember seeing it when I took the cover off to install my rear speakers.
