I am wondering what everyone thought of this radio. I am planning on getting it this week. Tell me what you think of it.
Pioneer DEH-P8MP
2009 Ford Mustang V6
I got the pioneer model of that (that one is premier). The only real diff is that that one has higher volt Pre-Outs (6.5V) and the Pioneer one has 4v. I really like mine, it's easy to use, have had it for like, 6 months now, and no problems. It's really good IMO, but then again, the only other decks I've heard/had experiances with are some bottom line Pioneer ones, and some Kenwood/Alpine/Clarion decks...but yeah so far I really like it

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
LOL
Friend had that model.. Preouts started giving off funky background noises to the amps.. Typical Pioneer build qaulity......... I personally say you invest in a 9855, or a 9835, JVC Arsenal unit (Tried a couple out this weekend, Loved them), or even an older Alpine Ghost unit. I have never been happy with newer pioneer gear, and netiher have any of my freinds who have given the stuff a whirl.

I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
this is my first pioneer HU, and so far I like it for the most part. upsides from the p80mp are like stated earlier that it has the 6.5v pre-outs, which I never had an issue with ANY background noise, and the option to run at a 40w or 60w max per speaker (although I couldn't tell you off the top of my head what the change in RMS was).
To be honest though I am still a little partial to my older K-Wood units but I got tired of the newer ones crapping out all the time and needing some sort of repair.
good luck with your search.
OK welp gonna order mine wednesday. should be a decent addition to my viper D1200.1 amp and type r's and my infinity's
