Okay, I was in my friend's 2000 cavalier sedan. Her radio looks slightly different from mine but only because a few buttons were different.
And I noticed something...
the numbers/words on the Stock unit light up when she turns on her headlights... and mine don't turn on at all...
in fact, they never have since I purchased the car, I memorized the buttons and can change stations or eject the CD or whatever I want to do from memory..
but I was wondering...
Does my radio have a short somewhere or is it actually designed to light up? I'm confused about this. not that it makes a huge difference, but it's strange.....
there is a chance that your bulbs are burnt out or the parking light wire is shorting and/or disconnected
ah well. the inside of the car is totally dark whenever I drive. it's rather comfortable.
well then i'd say its def not the radio itself
I meant aside from the cluster and the other stuff. HVAC works.. etc.
just not the radio.
o. wish i could remebner which color is illumination. try messing with the coneector in the back
