hey everyone i am glassing my dash and want to do a aftermarket tach speedo and water temp and fuel level guage i got all the autometer ultra lite stuff, if i unplug the cluster harness and leave it will i run into any major issues besides no check engine light monitoring?

You may need a PassLock bypass as well (similar to one sold for remote start units)...
ya i already have a passlock on the car.

In that case, other than hooking up the senders, gauges and calibrating the speedo, sounds like you got it in order...
You could also get a couple of the individual indicator lights for the turn signal bulbs.
