Most definitely not a good brand. If you can't afford better quality stuff, save up for awhile, it'll be worth it in the end.

those subs are going to suck, but i see nothing wrong with the head unit.

it doesnt matter how many times you tell people, bandpass box with lights and fiberglass are not built for sound, they are built for looks.

my boss and 2 other guys i work with have a dual amplifier. the price was good and the quality is good too. any one who says a certain brand isnt that good probably doesnt know how to use it.

if product has the right specifications, then who cares what brand it is. if the construction quality is crap on the other hand, then that is a different story. i have not heard or seen anything wrong with duals products.

but seriously, dont get those subs

Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!

You're right, in a lot of cases that's a true statement. Not with Dual. Dual is made by Audiovox, the same company that makes Jensen, and it's on the same level as Jensen. They look flashy and have cool features like the motorized faceplate, but chances are the faceplates going to break within the next year. The are prone to noise too. If you spend the same money that deck costs on a lower level deck of a better brand you WILL get a better headunit.

I had a Dual head unit in my old beater car and for $100 including installation it was actually a decent product. For what it was, it wasn't that bad. Wouldn't waste my money on the subs though.

Not sure about amps or head unit, But yeah, I think those subs are like a $99 special at Best Buy and they are junk. Just turn them up and listen, I could throw a bunch of plastic bags full of junk that rattles in my trunk and it will still sound better. (I'm sure at least someone here has had the experience of plastic bags and bass, very annoying noise). I don't have a very high budget, but In the long run I think especially with audio a little extra is worth it. Right now I'm all RF which is not the cheapest, but for a little over a year now I havn't been dissapointed. Lot's of people agree also, I don't know how many times I've heard "that sounds like THAT with only 600 watts..."

dual is junk, and the \"that sounds like its this much power when its much less\" statements are the most retarded thing i have heard... right next to \"my 10 sounds like 2 12s\" grow up and learn something about how to set up stereo systems right and u will see that the amount of power your amp is rated at doesnt have anything to do with the sound uget... some people are funny to watch in here

thats what i was kind of getting at. it is a useless statement. 240W sounds like 240W, but it depends what you do with that 240W that makes your system sound good. power is nothing, i could have a 1000W amp but if im not utilizing it or utilizing it wrong, then whats the point...?

exactly. i personaly am running cadence comps off a P3002 and currently a W0 ported off another P3002, soon to be an eD 13KV.2 sealed or ported, undecided there... i welcome u to listen to my \"ZOMG ONLY SIX HUNDRED WATTS DAWG?!?!?!?!?!11?!1?\"
(witch actualy if u take rated power, the comps running at 4 ohms, and the sub running bridged, it come out to only 450

the head unit it self is not all that bad in certain cases. I had the same one it was the first head unit i had, I also had my television in and it comes with AUX so that was a plus but the motorized screen broke on me within a week, then the next broke in 3 weeks and the third in 2 days, save up your cash and get some worth while with clarity
