Ok you want 1 sub and an two amps to run that one sub? I would HIGHLY recommend one amp to one sub. If you dont set the gains on both amps perfectly you will blow the sub. Also how much do you want toto spend?

I would assume he wants to hook two smaller amps up to one larger sub that is dual voice coil. What is your buddget?

Go with ONE amp. Two amps on one sub will blow it if there not matched PERFECTLY. You want 1500w for less then $1k/
15" Type R in a huge ported box and a Hifonics BXi1606d to power it. Should get ya there in just under 1k.

15" Type R $250

Hifonics Brutus BXi1606D $300

Best bet is a single how powered amp. With two amps if there not perfectly matched you will blow the sub.

Why are you set on two amps for a single sub? Who do you know that can tune the amps so you dont blow the sub? Not trying to be an ass just trying to help you out and save you some money. One amp will also be cheeper then two.

" One amp will also be cheeper then two."

That's my only concern, if you can set both amps to the same gain, then you're set, but honestly, it is far cheaper to buy one amp than 2. Check out Hifonics, they have some pretty decently priced amps with killer prices. I mean cmon, a 10,000w RMS amp for 3 grand?

im going for a 2 1 set up in the trunk for looks.. ya and the sub im using is 6ohm so if you know something that could push 1000rms 6ohm then sure....

why dont u get a nice set of components to run off a 2 channel amp and then a good class D mono for the 1 sub? that way u can have 2 amps and not compromise your subs life, and get some more sound out of it? thats what i would do, a lot of companies have whole lines of amps ranging from big class D monos to 4 or 5 channel amps that all look the same, so u can have the looks u want, but more function, sound, and safety

im sure there are still a few amps out there that you can strap together so you dont blow the subs. but then again your kinda just waisting money since you can get amps now that push that amount of power.

i still say if hes dead set on waisting money on having 2 amps just for the looks, he might as well just run a set of comps off the second amp, or waist his money completely on getting 2 matching amps and just run some wires under the floor or wherever and not connect em to anything.... i just dont see the point to what you are trying to do here..

this isnt 1989, you dont need 2 amps to push 1500rms

Well acutally your gonna wire it up to 3 ohms, So you need an amp that puts our 1000w at 3 ohms.

You could use the amp i posted earlier and get about 750w RMS or go with this amp and get about 1000w RMS.
