ok guys heres the thing..its my first kick panels so ofcourse im trying to choose speakers
i was looking at some 6.5" kicker subs and tweeters...but should i use the subs or some 6.5" 2-ways ?? ...by the way which tweets do you guys recommend for the Qlogics ??
why would u put subs up front in the kicks?
and what ur looking to put in there is a component set
(components consist of usual, 2 mid drivers, 2 tweeters, and 2 crossovers)
wire the tweeters and mids to their respective spots on the crossovers, then the amp out side of the crossover goes to your amp..(you're upgrading your speakers, why would you not amp them
)
whats your price range for the speakers alone, and an amp if u dont already have one? give that info and im sure theres a few of us on here that would be happy to give you some good recomendations.

i have a nice 4 channel amp to hook to my kick panel speakers and im not gonna have any subs in the back for weight and space sake..but considering i dont know much about speakers besides hooking up my stock ones or subs i REALLY need some help....im not sure what your talking about "crossover" cus i thought the one built into the amp was enough....keep in ming i have no rear speakers and i wont have any in the door cus i heard itll mess the sound up
the first would be a sub, probly not the best thing to put up front in the kicks, second pic are a set of coaxials, not a bad choice, but components would be the best way to go, they have a tweeter(there is a spot on the kick pod for them), and also the mid driver, the crossover seperates the frequencies, you can leave your amps filter (if it has one) on all pass, (usualy the center position between low pass and high pass). then the crossovers included with the component set does all the seperation work, sending the mid and lower tones to the mid and the higher frequencies to the tweeter. and as far as door speakers messing with sound... running door speakers AND kick pods would mess it up a bit, do either or, not both, also, if u want to keep your rears, fade to the front so theyre not realy that noticeable, and no need to run em on the amp, or remove them all together, where your not running any subs, MAYBE get some decent 6x9\'s and amp em. also look into front comp sets that have a little more oomph in the bass department, some lack and some play quite a bit, also i prefer a silk tweeter, its just a smoother softer sound (silk go figure lol), if you like a lil sharper harsher highs, maybe titanium or another metal type tweeter is fine for you. i dont mean to make speaker choice sound like a life changing decision, but spending 100-500 on a pair of speakers, you obviously wanna make the right decision the first time.

if you want a smaller kick and a bit easier time getting the imaging down look for some componets where you can mount the tweeter in the center of the mid. just like a co-axial but with the crossover included. this keeps both speakers on the same plane making things a bit easier, i know image dynamics chamelions offer this as well as a few other brands on the market. this isnt life or death as said above but rember that 90% of your music is going to be coming from these speakers.

CDT also has some amazing prices on their comps that have the tweeter able to be mounted with the mid, check out woofersetc.com for CDT comps.

excuse my "ebay window shopping" but i think im gettin it now
i should be looking for something more like
THIS
yes that is a decent set of components. also go to woofersetc.com and on the right under the shop by brand list click on CDT Audio, and sort by price, the first result should be a set of 6.5 inch comps with some free dynamat thing, those are damn nice comps, comprable price to the alpines, and i would vote CDT over alpine on speakers myself. but if u get the type-r's i dont think ur gunna be disapointed
