I have to pass an 8g power wire thru the firewall of a 2005 Sunfire. I read/searched that the rubber gromet surrunding the clutch lever is a good place, since the car I am doing has a manual tranny. Any advice of people who already done this before? I think I have to do it from under the car, because I checked from over the engine bay and can't seem to reach any rubber gromets/holes in the firewall.
Thanks a million guys
Dominic
or you could use the grommet used to bring the wire loom in from the engine bay, probably a better choice...
Look for the grommet from inside the car... It's much easier to spot.
What they said.
Just look under your dash at the firewall. There should be giant rubber grommet.
It might take a little to get the wire through it. I stabbed a knife thru mine and then messed with it a little and got the wire through. You may also have luck with taping/wrapping the wire around a straightened clothes hanger and pushin it thru after u slice a little hole.

using a long straight object like wiz said is a good idea if ur having trouble, i personaly didnt find any J body give me trouble with 8 gauge, 4,2,1/0 then your getting a lil less flexible
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Js dont got a ton of room under the kick pannel things, so im sure running a couple 0 gauge wires would blow!
