well i made a trip to the wreckers last week to get a new radio dash bezel for my cavalier because mine had a few cracks.
while me and one of the guys are out in the yard, i asked him if he had any z24's on his list because i was trying to find a factory fog light switch.
we ended up finding one, tore everything apart into small pieces and said to stick it in my pocket and keep my mouth shut.
i come home and put the new bezel in and wired up the switch, works great.
anyways, the other night i was driving home from a diner with the girlfriend and her mom and decided to turn the fogs on. about 10 minutes later, all you can smell is this funny burning smell. i go to turn the fogs off and the switch stuck a bit, then finally turned off, but wouldnt turn back on.
anyways, i ripped apart the dash again today and opened up the switch to find the solder had melted from the heat. i thought there was a relay beyween the fogs and the switch, but i guess i was wrong.
anyways, i either need a new switch or to be able to fix the stock one i just got. does anyone have any experience with a problem like this that might have some tips for me?
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
you may have wired it to bypass th relay. sorry to hear it
