do the watts of the radio add to the watts of an amp when you connect them to the speakers? like if you are getting 60 watts per channel from the amp and say 17 watts per channel from teh radio, does that equal 77 or is it just the 60 from the amp?
sorry if this is retarded, but ive just been wondering this for a while
It would only be the amp wattage, because your spk's are hooked to the amp. The radio is sending the audio signal through the rca wires to the amp then the signal is ampilfied. If you hooked the spk's right to the head-unit it's the same but it's internally done(no rca wires/the amp is right inside). Hope this helps.
yea i understand. it just i tohught i had one day and was wondering the answer to. thanks alot.
