alright, this will be my last post about cdplayers and headunits i swear lol
alright, well my first choice was a gay one... the Dual brand sucks; as you were all correct
found this one though... and i really like it...
HERE
anyways my friend has bought from this site before, and it ships everything in original packaging, with a one year warranty on all products so i assume this URL is reliable.
few quick questions though... would this fit into my '01 sunfire?
and a quick installation question: would i just disconnect the wire sockets leading to my stock radio and plug 'em into the new one and presto!?
any help would be great. i just want you guys to approve the cd player i've selected and make sure it isn't a hunk of junk... since i'm not electricion...
Hey i have the same exact unit. I love it its an awesome headunit. But i got it for about $210 shipped with a 3 year warranty off of ebay. Might want to check into that.

That is the headunit i am about to order but i have to get a couple different things for installation. I played with it at a local audio store and it seemed really nice.
stay away from pioneer, stick with kenwood, jvc, clarion

That's funny... You didn't mention alpine. Alpine makes some of the best head units out there. Personally, I've had two pioneer head units (DEH-P4600 and DEH-P5800MP) and loved them both. Never had any problems with either so please share where you are getting your biased info.

and just what is yor reason
Once again, generalizations are a killer. So many times I have seen someone have one bad experience with a particular brand and from then on they will tell everyone how terrible they think it is. While I admit I'm not a big Pioneer fan because I have seen noise come out of them when used with a seperate amplifier. If you're just using the deck to drive the speakers, they're great.

I've had a few problems with the Pioneers I've owned. Current one wont eject CD's very far...only about 1/4". Last one the face came lose so you had to push on it for it to ligh up...but when you let off the lights would go off. I do have a tad bit of static "noise" from the one I have now...moreso than I had with other decks. Also had the engine noise prblem that was fixed with adding another ground to the deck chasis (problem oly existed when I amped my components).
I think I'm gonna go with an Alpine or Panasonic next.
RE Audio
i have a panasonic......if you get a panasonic get the 5v preout ones
I'm no expert on the subject, but my current and previous stereo have both been pioneer and i'm very satisfied. I haven't had anything go wrong with either one. But that's just my 2 cents.
I've had 4 Pioneers and never had a problem with any.
I've had 1 Clarion, and 1 Kenwood and nothing but trouble with both always powering off from bad internal chips.
I've had an Eclipse and loved it.
I currently have a $1500 Alpine D310 with H701 Processor and think it's only so-so.
Everyone has opinions like said above

I like it. Personally I would look into and extended warranty. My pioneer headunit started acting up right after the ! year warranty expired. It is now in the trash because it sucked so bad. I Still think pioneer makes a good product and so I am replacing it with the N3 so we will see how that goes.
