I have 2 subs, and each requires 1 square foot for SPL and 3 square feet for Sound Quality. I want Sound Quality. I'm building a fiberglass box right now, and it would be difficult to divide it into seperate chambers, so i was wondering if i just double the space to 6 square feet for Sound Quality if they will be sharing the airspace. Is this correct? TIA.
Uhhh...I think they meant 1 cu.ft. for SQ and 3 cu.ft. for SPL. You sure you read that right?
And it's cubic feet....not square feet.
RE Audio
I would have separate chambers, especially if you want sound quality, IMO.
it isn't gonna matter really.....your not going to notice a difference between having your box divided into two seperate chambers or not.

I'm looking at the datasheet right now...it says 3 cubic feet for Musical, and 1 cubic foot for SPL. You're correct on the cubic feet comment though. It was late. I don't know why i wrote square feet. But the real question was do i just double that number if i have 2 subs?
yes just double the number

they are Phoenix Gold Xenon 12" D4 Subwoofers
the only reason you seperate the chambers is for strength in the box, and if one sub dies, you wont kill the other too... which rarely happens. most people drive both subs off one amp so you will not blow just one sub.
