Okay, I've got my HU all wired up, but the only problem is I can't find a wire to tap into to make the unit switch on with my ignition... I'm getting sick of having to power it on and adjust the settings every time I start the car. Someone suggested turn signal wire.. but I don't know where to tap into it at, and I'm not sure what color it would be. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
i just ran mine to the windshield wiper fuse. this way, it has constant power, but only when the key is in the on position, and wont reset your settings with the constant power
RIP Saint ........ JBO
And I assume either 'pole' on the fuse would work, correct?
i just pulled the fuse out, bent the wire around the end, and shoved the fuse back in. probably not the best way, but its worked for 4 years.
GO PATS!!!
Or get a two fuse pigtail from Auto parts store and find a constant fuse in the box with the same wattage as the radio. This is how I have my EQ powered and it works perfectly.
Gotta keep on livin', L-I-V-I-N
get a MINI size fuse tap from any auto parts store, and use a 5A fuse in the "add-a-circuit" part of it....boom, you've got yourself a switched 12v source. use it in the windsheild wiper fuse. its a common installer trick, and ive had it for 2 years working just fine.
