I have heard of some cars coming with a factory amp on the cd player i searched and had no luck in finding out if a 96 cavalier ls came with a factory amp any where in the car and if there was how to wire around it and remove it. Thanks in advance for any help.
i dont think the 96's came with one, only the monsoons came with the amp straight from the factory i believe

thanks. i was just wondering why when i pulled my cd player and speakers from my old s10 and put them in the cavalier it got quitier.
not only the monsoon. my 02 z24 doesn't have a monsoon radio. its just got the factory "premium sound" that came with a crappy little amp.
