Off brand car alarm PLEASE HELPPPPP

I bought a brand new car alarm off of ebay, to install in my 96 Cavy, and I am having a little trouble figuring out the propper wiring. It is an off brand, called X-PLORE with a two way pager, keyless entry, and remote start. I did a little reasearch before buying, and got some mixed reviews, but most seemed to say that it was a decent alarm. Any way, here is my problem. I had a friend at Tweeter print out a tech sheet, and the wiring diagram in the manual is a little different from the tech sheet. Tech sheet calls for ignition 1 and 2, while the book calls for engine start and key on. are they the same thing, and if so, which is 1 and which is two, or does it matter which one I use? The book also calls for an air condition wire, which is not on the tech sheet. Alarm has two leads, which are marked for direction indicators, while the tech sheet gives only one wire for the parking lights. can I use this, and hook the second lead to my street glow? Book calls for alternator wire, I have no clue what to do with this, as it is not on the tech sheet at all. On a 96 base coupe, will I need any kind of module for a passkey bypass? My friend from Tweeter has said that I might, but is not much help, as he "Will not touch a trifling product like this one because it's not DEI" I am adding a pic of the install guidt to referance what I am talking about.

OK, here ya go:

On the ignition switch harness there is a pink wire and a white wire (ignition 1 and 2, also called true ignition and second ignition, respectfully).

Engine start is the starter wire, the yellow one in the same harness. Key one is true ignition, the pink one.

The air conditioning wire is the orange one in the harness, the accessory wire.

Not sure one what to make out for the directionals, see if there is an output for parking lights, or if that is programable. Parking lights are a positive(+) output, so a relay may be needed. Check to see what the output is before you hook it up to your neons.

That alternator wire could be the tach wire, not 100% sure, but the tach wire is purple/white wire in the engine compartment off the plug for the coil. Check to see if the alarm is programable for "voltage check" and you do not have to hook this wire up.

Make sure you have your hood pin done as well.

You will need a 555L from your friend at Tweeters. Before you install the alarm, prep the module into the alarm as well.

If you have never done this before, should take about 7 hours, start to finish. A 'seasoned' vet will take about 3-4. Our cars are hard to work on, esp. the ignition switch.

Just use lots of tape and if you have a problem, e-mail me(check registry). Also, if you are close to NJ I could help you out.

Thanks Sam, that is very helpful. I'm going to attempt to get started this morning, I've never done an alarm before so I'll see how it goes, and I may be e-mailing you back

Well, I found a 555L on ebay, and I'm waiting for it so I couldn't do the remote start, but other than that everything wired up correctly, and easily. Thanks, your help was awesome. Thanks

If you go to any audio store, they should have one. You shouldn't pay more then $30, thats what I pay for my modules.
