Here at elemental designs we have had a small side project speaker known as the SPv2.

Heres a little information that Ben posted before it was released.

Peak Power : Unknown
Weight : 55Lbs
Size : Big
Application : Vented Box Only. (2.2cF and up)
Tons of Motor. 90dB 1w/1m (seems ironic becuase it LOVES POWER!)
Tons of Excursion : 28mm one way
Ideal for : The guy who manages to blow everything else.
Projected Price : Around 350.
Coils : D2

This is something I'd never thought I'd do but we owe'd it a few great guys to finish and release. This is unlike anything we've ever done.

More information and pictures in about 30 days.

For those that don't know. Delvryboy, Chris Harms has been using the first generation of the prototype a good deal lately doing incredibly well in the competition circuit. If you do a search you'll find all kinds of good information on it. He's using 4 NINe.1's as well. However his version has less cooling, less motor, and less clearance.

Well they are basically a limited run driver. all are built in house, using modified 15A motors. Right now there are under 50 out there.

Price went from projected $350 to $250 shipped.

For power handling we have people running 1200 watts to 4500+ watts.

This thing is a true beast. The cone is a pressed paper honey comb for added strength. The surround is actually sewn to the cone.

We have had people meter the Spv2 on a termlab ranging from 142.8db in a 2.3cube tuned to 27hz box. to Chris Harms a world champion SPL competetor doing a 151+ with 4 Nine.1 amplifiers strapped to it.

If you guys have any questions feel free to give us a call. There are a limited number of them available. To order or for questions call eD at 858.605.1356

now for some random pictures..
cone cut into sections to show honey comb for added strength over a convetional pressed paper cone.

Stitched/ glued cone to surround connection.

12 spoke black basket.

Which reminds me, Alex. Have you guys finished moving out to Newton yet? I'm still wanting to drive out there and see the facility and check out some of the gear.

I've been planning on going if I don't have to work. I hadn't been on the JBOI site for a few days but I'll get on today and get the info. I remember you had the date and all that on there.
