I searched for about an hour and still could not find the answer. On the 3rd Generation BCM. I know that the wire for the parking lights is brown on the BCM. I also know that this is a positive wire. What then activates the lights. For example, if you were to bypass the module all together, do you just run +12volts to the wire for the lights to come on? I am going to install keyless entry, and need to know how to wire up the relay. Same thing goes for the trunk release. I know that It is a black and white wire and that it is a negative. If I just grounded the wire for a second would the trunk open?
Sorry if I sound like a newb!
New Picture comming this summer.
Open up the steering column to tap the parking lights, that's what I did for my keyless install. Much easier that way.
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.
your parking lights are 12v constant and a brown wire easily found at the switch or if you found it elsewhere it should test 12volts with switch turned on.. for the trunk release it is black with white with a negative polarity. it will read ground momentarily for like a second or so... if you pulse it with a ground or negative pulse the trunk will open..
hope this helps
