im think of gettin 2- 12" alpine type-s subs dual 2 ohm, anybody have experience with these subs?
are they better then kicker comps?
or what kicker sub are they equal too? cvr?

I believe Type S are the lower end of Alpines Subs, Type R is more renowned and Type X I believe are supposed to be the best. Kickers are renowned for just about every sub they make. All I ever hear is kicker is t3h g0d. I'm pretty sure you'll get answers that'll say the kickers are better.
i have kickers 2 comp CVRS on 600 watts.. its pretty loud.
well loud enough so can't hear g/f talk.. gives ya idea..

yeah but you could get two kickers for about $120 and build a better box for another 40 bucks.
not a big fan of kicker... alpines always sounded better to me. Kickers seem to get louder though.
i got 200 watts apiece on my kickers and they pound....but then again they are solobarics
i have two 12 inch cvrs with a 600.1 mono amp and my buddy got two 12inch alpine type-s's MRA-F350 amp, and ya, mine is louder, and personally i think they look better
O and my cvrs r the sliver ones....... so i say go with Kicker.... livin loud...
I have a type-s in my car right now. It's an older one and it's powered by an older MRP-M350. It's in an Obcon dual 12" box but my other sub broke itself so I just covered the whole with some mdf and now it's a big sealed box. I like it. It's not super loud like I have seen kickers get, but then again, i'm more of a sq dude. Don't get me wrong either, it can get loud.
I would say, sq-alpine spl-kicker.

, my single R hits 140 + (in a 6th order box none the less)
