Whynot just do the most practical.

Flip out 6.5 or 7 inch DVD deck with monitors in the headrests. I mean you can even have "covers", so to speak, made to cover the headrest monitors when you aren't in it for a little security.

May cost a little more, but will look better, IMO.

I have 2 children though, so them being able to view the image clearly is my main concern lol.

you can buy the jensen 7 inch dvd player at walmart for 449, 2 headrest monitors will be about 300 bucks. 749 for that, and you could install it yourself to save some extra change.
