So current setup is
975 polk momo 4 channel amp
2 6.5 polk momo in front
2 6x9 polk mom in rear
im thinking of adding 2 more speakers to the rear section.
MY question is do i need to buy a new amp to do this or can i just daisy chain them off the rear?
I was thinking for liek the left channel, doing from positvie to speaker, then the negative to the new speakers positive, then the negative from the last speaker bakc to the amp. Would this work??
Does my amp have enough power for this or do i need more? Thanks!
Yes it would work, but i dont think it would work well...why would you want 4 back speakers wired to 8 ohms (im assuming ur speakers are 4 ohms like most of them that i've seen) You would be putting out 1/2 the power, to double the speakers...I really dont see the point, and it is bad staging to have speakers in the back anyway...I think if you're adding more speakers, get some more 6.5's up front in like, some kick panels or something, and you should really...really get some subs...they really make everything work a whole lot better cuz then u cut out the low signals to ur 6.5s and 6x9's and they sound much better, then you put all the bass into speakers designed specifically for those low notes...

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
LOL
well I will be getting subs later, but im not really a bass person. So then to add more speakers, your saying i will need to get another amp? THen so my first amp just do the pre outs to the new amp and all should be well??
That would work, but maybe someone else on here has a better idea that i havent thought of
