great bang for the buck, but I've read a few reviews where the cheaper subs tend to lose voicecoils, dustcaps, and surrounds very easily. Supposed to be very loud, and looking at the specs, they do seem like they'd hit quite a number. I've never owned audiobahn stuff so I wouldnt know.

I have a friend with 4 Audiobahn Dub's powered by Hifonics amps in his Beretta. Should be hitting about 150db after he tunes everything correctly.

Depends what you wanna use them for I guess.

Also, one of my friends had 2 Flame Q 12's powered by the Audiobahn amp (the big one, forgot what the model # is). His front bumper cover rattled off his 2000 altima.

i will call bull@!#$ on the rattling off of the bumper and hitting 150s once its tuned. . the only tuning you will do is the port tuning and that had better be done before you drop woofers in. UNless you compete and are trying to do an interchangeable port so you can adjust your tuning frequency. for him to rattle his front bumper from two 12s then he must have a magic something or a pos car. I'm with everyone else - you're much better off saving your money and buying something decent.

Shayne, seeing that you're from Alberta, you should check out the classifieds section on http://zerohurz.tripod.com. The website was set up by a bunch of SPLers in Calgary/southern Alberta. Alot of good stuff goes for cheap on that site. Also check out canadiancaraudio.com's classifieds. Lots of good used stuff there as well, and quite a few members are from the west.

Any decent used sub will be 100x better than audiobling.

we wont hit 150

if his altima is made of legos then yes i can see that happening but i put down 147 right now and guess what... no bumper offing, plus it sounds better than any audiobling....

Man, I saw it happen alright? That car was a POS anyways, 2000 altima. Everything broke on that thing. The 3rd brake light shattered, the bulbs in the brake lights broke, the front clip broke off, I saw that thing. Matter fact, the 3rd brake light hasn't been fixed since this happened almost 3 years ago.

I'll make sure and get a copy of the guy's db drag slip when he gets those dubs tested.

dude me and all my friends have audiobahns and we bump the @!#$ outta people that spend hunderds of dollars on things like kickers and W3's.... they're good for the money and if u have a lot of it, get the immortal series and shut everyone up.... ive built a lot of systems and audiobahn is not bad at all... i just replaced a set of mmats procasts for audiobahns and the difference is amazing... don't talk about em unless uve actually heard them for urself cuz everyone "hears" things that are almost always some stupid rumor.. there's nothing wrong with audiobahns at all
Re: audiobahn opinion

First off, install is EVERYTHING when it comes to subs. Depending on install, you can make great subs perform like garbage, and cheap subs sound somewhat decent.
If kickers and W3s are placed in a far less than optimal enclosure, of course there's a good chance that they'll sound like crap. I've had W6s and friends have had W3s, and in the right enclosure you'd need to spend a fortune to get better SQ or deeper bass.

I have personally heard more than one audiobling sub (including immortals), and my opinion of them as being sub-par stands.

well all the systems i have hooked up sound good with the audiobahns and my friend who just likes to spend money has gone throgh everything including kickers, memphis's, and now jl's, he has the same exact box as me and has W6's right now. Mine are still much louder... im not hating on anyone with other kinds of subs im just saying it pisses me off when people are like audiobahn sucks but really it doesnt matter it IS all in the tuning and the amp as well i just don't like people hatin

or termpro.com
or elitecaraudio.com
or carsound.com
or hell even sounddomain.com
audiobahn is trash. there amps dont put out anywhere near rms.
their subs suck
and yes ive installed hundreds of audioblowns. i do mean hundreds.
maybe you should heara good install instead of the bull@!#$ that gets fed to you
i bet those w6s of your friends in the exact same box as you sound ten times better.
And as far as that statement goes.
you just shot your credibility all to hell. good idea put a w6 in the same box as a audiobahn. GO go prefab best buy box!

I don't know why anyone would even pretend to compare something to JL 12W6 based on how loud it gets. It just boggles me....

A JL 12W6 is a PURE SQ subwoofer. It's whole purpose for existing is to win SQ events, which they have done hundreds, if not thousands, of times. Nothing more. The vast majority of people put them in small, sealed boxes. I myself put my 2-12W6s in a 5 (and 5.5) cuft ported box tuned to 28 and 26Hz respectively. Was it loud? Not particularly - I hit a 142 on the old AC. Funny thing is that I was hitting 140dB (old AC, same day as the 142) at 20Hz. Did it sound good? It went lower than any other sub I've ever listened to; when I sat in my car the bass was omnidirectional to the point where you couldn't tell which direction it was coming from - it truly sounded like I had mounted the subs on the windshield. SQ judges couldn't believe the quality of my bass. Zero distortion, and perfect sound reproduction. THAT'S what the JL Audio 12W6 was designed to do.
Jesus....

do u think that they were in the same box at the same time? no not evne close that would just be retarded... bring ur @!#$ over here and i wil blow what u have to hell.... ill put @!#$in 200 dollars on it... u are a typical JL worshiper who is in love with @!#$in 400 dollar subs that aren't loud... sound quality isnt everything to me and everyone i talk to even guys at my local shops say how loud my @!#$ is and even THEY install JL's and kickers and soundstreams and mmats too... i would no i had a pair of procasts myself and my 1208T's hit 10 times harder
