if the only thing it deosnt do is play CD's then why dont you get an external DVD player that plays MP3's . if not. i would go with Alpine or Eclipse. You chose alpine. and thats a great unit. ive never heard ANYTHING bad about them. so enjoy
i got it and the alpine 6x9 and 4x6. it sounds good. thanks. would i be able to sell my screen and stuff? like if i were to put it in regionals can someone use it with a different DVD player? idk if it would be wanted.

If it's a stand-alone screen (ie: you can plug RCAs into it) I bet people would be crawling for it.
