i recently added an amp and sub to my car, but now i would like to wire up a switch so that i can turn the amp on and off as i please. i am going to do this bu adding a switch between my remote turn on wire. i bought this led rocker switch but am unsure of how to wire it.
the switch looks exactly like that one, with the gold connector under the led "on" position and 2 silver connectors beside it.
the 2 leftmost connectors (silver) have a "+" and an "A" on them, and the rightmost (gold) connector has a symbol that looks like:
__|__

im not quite sure how to wire this since it has an led showing the power on, does that mean i have to wire a +12v to it or does the remote wire already have power going thru it so i need to wire a ground?
thx in advance, steve.
I don't think that you'll get 12v out of the remote wire. Any time I've ever seen that symbol it represents ground
Wire the remote lead to the +, ground the negative, adn the one that says A, run the remote to the amp.
^^ that would work, but i dunno if the remote would have enuff power runnin thru it to power the led, maybe run a 12v+ to the + with the remote, then remote to amp from the A with the other one grounded

he's right run a wire from the battery or a 12v + soure to the "+" terminal and groud the terminal that us a bunch of line and run a wire to your amp from the terminal marked "A" and you should be set and b/c you have a 12 volt soure your amps will have a solid remote signal
