The install was really easy, except I had to cut behind the dash a bit, and my dremel died on me meaning I had to resort to an old pair of siccors, and a razor blade. Bah. The only problem I had: My odometer don't light up anymore. It's still there, but no brightness. What makes it worse is that I have the gauge overlay, which puts an extra layer over the odo, so I don't see it at all. I barely noticed the numbers were still there today because the sun hit it. Why does it do that? I didn't even touch the gauges, just the stock deck, and I used the factory wiring harness
Ah well.
Oh yeah, some extra screens and a PS2 in the glovebox coming soon
Really sweet man. I love the new units like that with the built in TFT. Only prob is that there isnt a removable face. How much did you drop on that?

Little advice Karnage, you gotta trim some of the plastic behind the dash. Not much, but just enough so it'll fit. Also, have fun stuffing all the RCA's somewhere!
Heres mine yeah i have had mine for about 2-3 months now i love it!!!!!
Not to sound like a dick but are you sure your dimmer switch is turned all the way up
So where did you put those RCA'S???
when i put my screen in i had to stuff them down by the glove box
also since you cut out some of the plastic how are you supporting your new HU are did you use the back straping.

he should of just cut part of the top, and with the screws in it doesnt move hardly at all. the bottom pocket of mine holds pretty well, i did have to put a small piece of foam in there but nothing big, just to keep it from moving at all. its definitly one of the bigger players without going to a full 2 din and it is a pain to cut some of the plastic, but once its in, it was all worth it.
hey corsica dude.. did you happen to see the avx706?
For anyone that has installed this unit..
What do I do with the OE Remote and Reverse Gear wires ?
the video ones are self explanatory, and besides them I know where they all go.. but the OE Remote and Reverse Gear.. ( i imagine I just wont use OE Remote, but the Reverse gear prolly has to be grounded to something to stop playback while in gear? )
Also, I wanna play a DVD of music videos I have for passengers to watch on a trip.. can I ground something soemwhere so it will work while in gear ?
Thanks for the help, im kinda confused
Sorry if this post doesnt make sense, its 215 am and I cant figure this radio out yet and im installing in the morning !
