Best for my Budget

I got some money, and decided to spen it on audio.

Ive been reffered to many different companies as to what I should get.

Right now my budget is 11-1300. I need subs, component speakers(which will be CDT 6.5" classics), a headunit (eclipse cd3000), and amps (soundstream is what i'm looking at).

Amps: Both soundstream,

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3175 (SS 340 2ch amp)

Head unit:

Comps:

Subs:

I still havn't decided. I went to Circuit City and talked with a friend of mine. He has 11k in his car for just audio, so I thought he mihgt know a little something. My original choice was MTX, then it changed to Type-r's, but I was persuaded out of that because the sound quality doesn't seem great.

What i'm asking for is opinions on subs. I'm looking to spend around 300-400 for two, so any input would be awesome. I was going to have the box done by JD at http://www.soundsthatpound.com but I don't know his e-mail and was wondering it it's the one listed on the website a bunch of times.

Again, thanks.

These are another option, anyone had any experience with them?

I can vouch for the 13Ov.2. Just put one in my cav powered by a eD Nine.2x amp, 600w rms and it sounds really clean and can get very loud. People will tell you bad stuff about the company but that's in the past. They're great to deal with, give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

I'm not a huge fan of soundstream products, a lot of my friends are displeased with them, as we with I - using a soundstream headunit. Cheaper, but not worth it, in my opinion... but good luck!

Adam have you used any of the mid to higher end SS amps? Im not ever recomending any head units(didnt even know they made any), or speakers or anything, but their amps are solid, like any brand, you cant judge a whole company on their bargain priced stuff...... SS makes some damn solid amps!

JD is the only one working for him as far as i know, last i checked he hasnt hired any box builders, so yes, the e mail on the site goes directly to him personaly. hes a great man to work with and will def give u the best price on a high quality custom box...

as for a pair of subs for 300-400, look into eD 13k's and 13o's, very nice clarity and they get loud enough, also look into JL W1v2's and W3v2's,

Also look into ID subs on woofersetc.com ... there are lots of options for a good pair of great sounding subs man.. hope u get this whole system put together and everything!!

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Are these 15 or 12"? The dimensions confuse me and if I want a box made than I should at least be 100% sure of what i'm buying.

Ok, they are 15'', but they seem cheap for the size and the power doesn't seem to match the size. 350-600, so lets say 475 wrms for each?
