i need some help figuring out my dimensions on this box im building. ive tried a bunch of different formulas, etc but cant seem to get what i need, and none of the online calculators ive tried help with this somewhat odd shaped box.
basically the sides i have labeled in the attached diagram in inches have to be those measurements. but whats killing me is figuring out the lengths of the non-labeled sides to make for 1.5 - 1.8 cubic ft of air per sub. there will be 2 JL 13" subs in this box. can anyone help me calculate the top and front measurements?? any help is greatly appreciated!! any more info needed, just let me know. i'll be checking this post a bunch today, so any help is really appreciated.
PS - i had to attach the file because i cant get to an image host since im at work, so if someone could host it on imageshack or something, it would be much appreciated.

I'll try to get it to work but ur lookin for 3 - 3.6 cubes for the whole box right??

Gosh darn you wysiwyg.
I was doin it by hand and so I had something to do at work but now... i don't.
Ya, what program is that?

simple math man.
anyway, assuming that front is 18" and at a 45 degree angle, the horizontal and vertical height and width of the triangle area is approximately 12.75" (the part you dont see). meaning that the vertical height on the left side is 7.25"
assuming 3 cu ft, by my calculations, the bottom of the box (if thats the inner dimensions, not including the thickness of the wood) is 10.5". now, the angle part alone at the top is 12.75, so your box is physically IMPOSSIBLE to create at 3 cu ft. the box you drew there is WAY big.
also, 20" wont fit in the cavalier trunk. you're MUCH safer running 16-18" total height. you're also better running an angle face of around 15-17, rather than 17-19. once you change that, you will either have to run a shorter height, or run a shorter depth, or just run more airspace. and if you do plan on having a box that takes up the max dimensions inside the trunk (since this is what i assume you're trying to do), good luck getting that box through the trunk hole OR through the back seat hole.

now looking at wy, that one does work, because you've changed the angle from 45-45 to 60-30. it all depends on how you wanna angle the subs
