I mean he has a hatchback VW hatches tend to be a little louder. honestly i dont think a 143 is all that loud. and i am not a big fan of JL so i am not taking his side. IM just saying. but congrats on 2nd, i hope you get 1st next time when you get your box right, and keep representing JBO.

you make it sound like i totally hate them, I was actually defending him, that something liek that could actually produce those numbers. I have heard jl, and i have heard better. I stick to memphis and boston. Boston would be the higher end of the two and have good quality, but memphis is more efficient and pocket friendly. Its like the kids out here that drive hondas, they all do b/c its cool, and its the style. But most of them havent driven anything but that hondas, they dont know whats out there. They dont know that a toyota anything would kick anything honda 10 fold. same thing with not
all jl owners but
alot of them. They have never heard nanything other than JL and they are the ones fighting about "O JL is the best, nothing can beat them" its just pure ignorance to me. You have to able to acknowledge all the companies, just because they are in competition with each other.

thats true anything above 145 is dam hard on a Termlab mic!

i got 144.3 with 2 alpine typeS 12"S and 500rms sony amp.
a good friend got 138.9 out of his JL, running 500W rms also.

143 on the dash is damn loud for everyday use and to most people.
the reason most people don't like JL is becasue there are many sub's and amp's out there that have more spl, sq or both for much less. jl audio is just like nike your payin for a name.
$hit the sub's i have in my car cost 189 each and my friend has 2 12W7's in 2 ho box's, and 2 jl 1000D's and i was 3 db's louder and 99% of the people there said mine had more s.q with half the power.
if yo uwant you can waste cash on jl but in the car audio world you don't get what you pay for, you pay for a name.
