I just put a Sony cd player in my 98 z24 , well i put a screw in the side to steady the deck in the dash fitting. Doing this kinda killed my sound. I took the screw out and now i have sound but no radio. The Aux and the cd works. Also for the radio i need an antenna adapter , because the stock antenna hook up is to small to go into the deck. Yet before I could wedge something beside the wire and get the radio to work. Do you all think that if i get the adapter that it may work .... or does it sound like i killed something

How long of a screw did you use? You may have damaged something with it. If you were wedging things into your antenna plug, you may have damaged the plug also. My suggestion is to send the radio in for service if it is under warrenty, and have a professional install your radios from now on.

dont remember how big the screw was. I still have the receipt for the unit , i may take it back if the XM doesnt work. Im waiting for the wiring and antenna to come it. I bought a pioneer reciever from a friend that got a new car with XM already in it , but he forgot to grab the wiring out of the old car , lol.
