im looking at getting 2 12s nad i was wondering whats better???? a mono amp or a 2 channel amp bridged???

What subs are you looking at? Single or dual voice coil? What impedence?

wait, mono and bridged 2 channel amps are for 1 sub right?

As long as you match the impedence correctly, you can use as many subs as you want.

Most likely they will be 4 ohm subs, but check them to make sure. If they are 4ohm, your best bet is to run them in parallel at 2 ohms to a mono amp, Most 2 channel are stable to 4 ohms when bridged.

yea ther 4 ohm subs. is ther a way i can put one sub per channel on the 2 channel?? and if i do run them parallel on a mono, does the power get divided by 2??

i have a 2 channel amp, with a sub on each channel. It owrks fine.

Yes, it will work, you just won't get the full potential out of the amp. Class D amps are also more power efficent than class A/B.
