i need to replace the front door speakers, and am wondering if i can replace them with 6" rounds as apposed to the crappy rectangle ones?

it is very possible. you will need to create a baffle, but nothing that is too hard. I used 2 x 3/4 mdf rings. and had to sand one down a little bit for speaker clearance between the driver and the door panel.
