Question about Elemental Designs
Tuesday, July 18, 2006 8:58 PM
I have never heard of these until this forum. How do they sound? I have heard people say they are great, I have checked out the web site, which brings me to this question. Are they worth the money or are they worth more than what there asking?

theyre worth every penny. great SQ, great prices, great quality, and not a damn thing wrong with any part of the company as far as im concerned... i will never stop repping them up or using their stuff so long as their quality, sound and pricing stays reasonable

I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn

Yeah, that is what I am talking about. I checked out the site, damn good prices. Quality certainly looked to be there. I am thinking about putting in an order as soon as I get the cash to do so. Replacing the comp set I have in the front doors, putting a comp set in the rear doors, and still wanting to do the 3 subs though. After you put logic into my head, will run the 3 off the same amp. I just want to work out placement in the trunk. I am still going to replace the 6X9's though. Just want something with really great SQ, with the thump.

why are u dead set on 3 subs? let me ask you this.... lets say you want a good set of front comps, some rear speakers, and subs(i still think 3 arent necesary, but we shall see..), and of course a couple amps... whats ur budget for all that? im in the mood to help as best i can right now, and if u gimme a budget, ill let u know what i think (although auditioning stuff is the best way to chose, i know its not always an option in some areas).... and if u reply quick enough tonight, i might just do it all right now while im bored

Lets see, in September I leave on a WestPac, get back in March next year. I will have about 18K in my bank account. Getting some other things performance wise for the ECO (S/C). After some searching I think that I may end up going with RE XXX subs though, not to sure yet. So pretty much I will be looking at about 2-3k to upgrade all fo the sound in the car.

that sounds like a very reasonable budget... now the NEW xxx's will def be pricey to power, pricey on their own to begin with, and just huge as hell, good luck fitting a box to accomodate them... the old ones seem to be hard to come by, but they do have great SQ and get stupid loud... u going in a more SQ oriented direction? i would love to recomend some nice stuff here cuz i got the time right now lol

haha XXX's are definately not for you if space is an issue.... i would seriously say 2 13Ov.2's would be well within ur price range... ported tuned real low... 30-33 HZ tops would sound mint

if u wanna spend a lil more and possibly get a lil more sq and get louder... another good contender would be a pair of ID IDMAX's... yum yum

Alex the only question that I have is if I call and make the order, would I be able to pick it up at the warehouse instead of having it shipped out? I am in San Diego and it is only like a 2 hour drive for me.

Um, yeah, I kinda noticed that after I posted. I'm SMRT. Last night I thought I seen something about a warehouse in West Covina, CA. But I was tired as hell last night. But as soon as I get the cash I will be calling you. If it is not me then it will be my girlfriend, because I am not going to be in this country in September, cause I am not real sure when I will have the cash. I will be ordering 2 sets of the 6005, 2 of the 130v.2's, and 2 of those 6 1/2 mini subs. So I am looking at spending about 1K.
