Ok, so i'm going to run 2 dual 4ohm 12'' eD13Ov.2's and bridge it down to 1 ohm. This is the wiring i'm going to do from subs to amp, but since ive never done this before, how would I wire the amp to the HU/anything else it needs to be wired to? Are there any guides or tutorials I could use (these would be best), Also some info on wire and plugs I will need.
I was at best buy looking at 16 guage audio wire and an employee walks up and says, "These are the only inwall certified spools of cable we have." and he points to the 1000 foot spools that cost $150. I was like Oh great now I can hook up my subwoofers to my house! Then I walked out. Just a little story

It is a Orion HCCA D2400 rated 1200amps at 1ohm.
Sorry for the double post, but could anyone reccomend a decent amplifier wiring kit? I looked on crutchfield but the one for 40 doesnt look sufficient.

What is the difference between all the different kits? They are all different prices and I can't really tell which would work to my advantage or even be compatable with my setup.

Ok, this (http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL-AK4) kit looks like it would work. Is it just simple rca-like cables from the amp to the sub, positive and negative?
From the amp to the sub you just use speaker wire...its just...normal wire...usually like 12-18 gauge-ish...rca cables go from ur deck to ur amp...

from battery to amp, run the 4 gauge power wire, from the amp to a solid UNPAINTED part of the chassis(usualy taking the paint off under a seat bolt and using that is common), use the 4 gauge ground wire, from the head unit pre-out to the amp, rca cables... then from the head units remote wire (blue with white stripe usualy) OR from a 12 volt fuse that is switched when key is on, u run the remote power wire, then speaker wire for the subs

Alright, I was just looking at the manuals for the HU and the amplifier, and I have a good idea of what to do, and I think i'll order an amplifier wiring kit (is the one I linked correct?). Right now I'm heading out to get screws to put the subs in the enclosure, and wire to connect the subs to the inside of the enclosure. Are there any recommendations of specific wire, and where I should get it from?
any speaker wire will get the job done.. get a roll of anywhere from 12-16 guage

most likely female blade terminals to connect to the cup in the inside of the wall of the box. on the outside, just double over the speaker wire and screw it down for an easy way. otherwise get some normal banana connectors or just some angled ones that will fit inside there.
Yeah, that's what I figured for the outside ones. Just the inside ones could be a bunch of different ones and I just wanted to make sure.
In the diagram in the OP, how would I connect the +,+ and -,- on the same outlet? Can I just splice the wires together then put them into a connector?
I just went to Bestbuy, and looked at the Y Connectors.. Would this work?its an rca connection, split into 2 (i don't know why I'm describing it)
ok, You are just running the 1 amp to the subs right? if so, y connectors for the RCA's is not needed...
as far as the speaker wire, you are talking about running the speakers in parallel/prallel? all posatives to posative and all negatives to negative? on the subs, run a short piece of wire from one negative to the other, and from one posative to the other, then take another wire from each into a female spade connector,(both remaining posative wires into ONE connector, and both posatives into ONE connetor)..make sure you have a spade connector that can handle double the size of the wire ur using. ... i hope all that crap i just said made sense, i know if i didnt know how to do this, i would have just confused me LOL

All the above info is good, but i recommend a good 12 gauge speaker wire. Many people including myself have noticed a differance when using 16 awg and upgrading to 12 awg. I specificly use Tsunami subwoofer cable. Though it really makes no differance per brand.
Also, just a tip. If you intend to use a kenwood amp, You can use crimpless terminals for the power and ground connections if you really want. However the terminal is too thick to use your stock screw. There is however a readily available hex screw that fits just fine, and in your choice of color. If you need that info, just ask, ill take a pic of the set for you. Costs $2-3.
I have everything all set. Order the amp kit from knukonceptz and going to pick up speaker wire tonight. I just need to find screws that fit the outside of the woofer so I can secure it to the enclosure.
The connectors on the speaker are push pins that make a hole for the wire, I was thinking they were different, I just didn't look at them close enough.

El, this is not me hopping on ur case at all, such with some other posts, but simply stating this... i highly doubt anyone noticed an audible difference from 12 to 16 gauge speaker wire... bigger will always be a better way to go, but not necesary (of course anything less than 16 would be just dumb lol)

JL, not to fight you or anything, but we have noticed that overall it was clearer in sound.
Any ideas for mounting screws? Like what size for the head and should they go through the enclosure or just into the outside?

Find square headed screws, this way it helps to deture thiefs. Also i suggest not going through the box, cause your gonna need to seal that up to still be a sealed enclosure.
